Where is a good place to go for a turbo rebuild? I have a couple turbos that need rebuilds and i have only heard of one place to bring them (Diesel Components, Inc.) Is there any where else to bring them? ( I am willing to go anywhere... e.g. Iowa, Wisconsin, ect...)
Also, How much does a turbo rebuild usually cost? (Not looking to spend more than what i could repalce the turbo for...) -Thanks!

Isn't it almost always better to buy a new one as opposed to rebuilding one? I'd trust a new one a lot more than one that was rebuilt.

ha i rebuilt it myself. works great doesn't leak. compressor fins don't rub no smoking.. turned out great if you know what your doing.
But in the past i have brought it to diesel components they billed me for 400+ on a build which was a rip off on a small 50trim turbonetics t3.. i do admit they do one hell of a job. At the same time you wonder; a new one would been better off. |
