So I have a few questions here...
For the longest time I thought my car was a EJ6 with a D16Y7, Because I never really looked in depth at the Vin or engine stamp. As it turns out my car is a EJ8 with a D16Y8 block and Y7 head, That being said the head must have been swapped at some point, So would a swap back to a Y8 head be plug and play? From the looks of it the vtec solenoid and everything is there still just not hooked to anything. |

By saying the vtec items are there do u mean bolted to the head and not hooked to the harness?

So I did more research on it, Apparently the kid before me overheated and warped the original Y8 head and went the cheap route and got a Y7 head and didn't torque the head down right so this head is warped and burning hella oil, So I'm buying a Y8 head. HG is toast anyways so I can knock 2 birds with one stone.
