Anybody have any experience (or know anyone) with putting in and/or programming aftermarket chips, computers, etc?

For what motor? Your sig says '01 Civic EX (D17)? That's not a very popular platform to be honest with you. Some will say throw in a K20 with K-Pro.

Hondata, Crome, ECTune, lots of stuff out there, you just gotta spend some time to do some research.

I've been considering offering to do OBDI ECU's, since I'm familiar with them now.
Chipping is pretty easy (hondata is a cakewalk, and Chrome setups aren't too bad either).
I'm still learning the programming/tuning portion, however.
I know the ins and outs, but some of the more complex stuff I still don't have a lot of experience with.

I can't imagine OBDII/Kpro setups aren't tough at all, either, but I haven't really looked into it.

Is there anything done to the car that would bennifit from tuning?

Yeah I know its not high on the tuning lists.

Nothing but bolt ons so far, but the plan is to do a total enging overhaul when I can afford it.

Yes, do you have any more specific questions?? I'd like to remove the rev limter/governer and do a little fuel mapping.
