k so this might be a stupid question but i put in a set of autometer gauges for my new setup, for the coolant temp gauge i pulled the factory temp gauge out of the head and installed the autometer gauge, so my question is with the factory gauge not conected will the ecu still get coolant temp reading since i disconected that one or will it stop getting the signal which will not allow vtec to ingauge. i go for my tune saturday and the way i have it setup now there is no cels

Ecu is going to gimp you because it doesn't read the ECT any longer. No V-Tec, and you'll probably get a CEL if you try to hit it.
What are you running for your ECU?

The one nipple sensor in the head is the coolant temp going to the cluster.

The two wire sensor next to it is the one going to the ecu.

Long story short you may be ok, but only time will tell.
