The event is open to any sport compact vehicle. No tube chassis cars allowed in competition, exhibition passes or Quick 16 class only. All drivers are required to wear a helmet certified Snell 2000 or newer. Drag racing classes are subject to change, opinions welcomed!

Modern Automotive Performance Quick 16 Class:
Qualifying will be at 10:00am, 11:00am and 12:00pm with the fastest 16 cars making up the field. If you attempt to qualify but do not make the field you may run in an alternate class. The number of participants in this field may change depending on attendance. This class will be run heads up.


Top End Performance IB-ET Class:
Import Bike E.T. Must be Street Legal with working headlight, tail light, Push-button Electric Starting, Charging System and DOT Tires. Max Wheelbase is 68 inches. Wheelie bars not allowed. Snap back throttle and tethered kill switch mandatory. Full Face helmet (with shield) meeting Snell 2000 or newer certification, leather jacket, over the ankle leather footwear and leather gloves required. Leather pants that zip to jacket or 1 piece riding suit required if running faster than 120mph in the quarter mile. NHRA Competition License required if running quicker than 10 seconds in the quarter mile.

Also, im a bit confused on the events, there will be a regular auto-x (parking lot), a high speed auto-x on the road course, and a time attack/road racing event?? Or just a parking lot auto-x and a high speed auto-x on the road course??

I would love to try a couple laps on the road course, but I wouldn't be doing enough that it would be worth $150 to try it. Anyways, im super pumped and ready for this.

yes you will be able to access the facility on friday night for camping...

there will be a regular autox in an open lot, not on the road course. a high speed autox on the road course. the high speed autox is taking the place of the time attack style. there is no difference to the format other then you will run one lap at a time, and start stationary instead of flying.

You'd have alot of shuffling around to do! But it can be done.

Is there any rules on modifications for running on the road course? Like body, safety, etc.? Running without actual metal bumpers front/rear ok? Don't care too much about trophies or classes, just want to see what the car can do itself.

Must have the stock seat belts or a certified harness. Drivers are required to wear pants and a long sleeve shirt with a DOT/SNELL approved helmet. Bumpers being removed is fine and up to the owner/driver of the car. (obviously the car will have to pass the tech inspection to make sure it’s safe to be on track) There is no classing for the lapping day. If they want to run the high speed auto-x they will be put into a class.

BIR is offering a local cover band, but I thought perhaps there may be some better options out there. Please understand our budget for something like this is quite minimal, so please let's be inventive. What kind of ideas do you have?

Great news guys, Brainerd just informed us that there will be a price adjustment for this weekends drag racing. The price change will be $25 for the weekend for the drag racing. They want everyone to get their money worth. So even if we see a couple of sprinkles on Saturday, everyone will still be able to get out and make up for it on Sunday!

Also, the AutoX, Drifting, and the Road Course will all be run rain or shine! So everyone get out there early and let's make this a great time!!!

yesterdays numbers were great. the event looks much, much larger then last year.

to everyone looking to head out today. it is a little moist this morning, but the forecast shows it to stop raining by 10:00, the BIR guy said they need about an hour to prep the track, and we will start working on qualifying. we will qualify from 11-2, then eliminations for 2-5

all the road course and drifting stuff will go on as planned

Had a BLAST this weekend! Enjoyed meeting a lot of new folks and hang out with friends Friday and Saturday (w00t for bonfire’s and Domino’s Pizza!!!) Could have done without the BUGS and I am completely BURNT...Aloe here I come!!!!
