There are two people that have the D2B plate. But a member on d-series.org is working on a D2B without an adaptor plate right now. I would so rock a b-series on a d-series engine.

Whats the benefit on this. I would think they should make b to d series adapters since you can find D series transmissions all day long for cheap.

So people have made 400+ whp and have no problems whatsoever on the d-series tranny while some are breaking it left and right. Beside, b-series can handle the power more ease and have a better gearings then d-series. Even a LS tranny is better then a SI/EX tranny.

I always wanted to do a NA a6 build (140whp or so) but hated the thought of being at mercy of the longer D series tranny gears.... yuck...

So people have made 400+ whp and have no problems whatsoever on the d-series tranny while some are breaking it left and right.
They break pretty easily when the case bearings are worn and the main and counter shafts try to walk across each other. They break shift forks when people try to force them into gear when they don't want to go because the synchro hubs/rings/dog teeth are chewed up. Since D-series are worth nothing to the people who purchase them as cheap beater rides not worth changing the oil in or doing any other mantainence, finding one is crappy about-to-come-apart condition is pretty easy.
Also, if you don't know how to preload and launch correctly, you will destroy a B-trans just as quick as a D unit.
The only Honda gearbox with significantly stronger gears, and an OEM "cuff," is the CG trans and hold shit D-series bolt right to them. All you have to do is fab a trans mount, not hard.

Im curious to know how the tranny would sit exactly. I know a H to B makes it so you need a new custom hood...

The H2B only requires a spaced hood on certain chassis. In my crx I only had to space the hood 1/4"
Also, according to BISI, the D series transmissions are strong due to gear desgin.

No you're right, a 1/4" spaced hood is a factory option. :tard:

Serisouly vtecnition where you come up with this stuff.
im assuming thevtecnition had only about 1/4 because of his hood.

Those pictures are from an EF...where exactly does it need the 2.5" raise? In the middle of the hood?
Vtecintion, post up some pictures of your H2B swap and hood...
2.5" raise on the back of the hood, as stated in the link

Well then that pretty much proove he was wrong. plus a 2.5" raise in the back of the hood is quite a bit more then 1/4". so.....

There is one if you go check on evolution industries website under H2B kit on the second page toward the bottom under B2D.
