View Full Version : How to tell if P/S compatible?

Picked up a ramhorn manifold from a friend earlier today and i wanted to see if this is something that is p/s compatible just by looking at it?

It is an Oldskool Obx ramhorn manifold that friend had. he told me it was made before obx decided to make crap quality products. i know its not ac compatible already and know ill need a half rad.

but im trying to figure out if its p/s compatible or not.

any info/help is appreciated thanks!

we ran that manifold back in 2003 or 4 and made 584/405 with a GT35R
then zach bought it and idk who bought it from him but now you have it.
at the time we built that setup we were tight on cash so i told jordan to scoop one of those up and if it broke we would just have to weld it, but it never did.

as far as being PS compatible i have no idea but it may be if the compressor side is facing the drivers side of the car.

haha its nice to know a bit of its history. i hope itll hold for a 300-400hp build.

yah it will support the power. make sure you run a flexpipe in the DP. that should prolong the life of the manifold.

What's so great about power steering anyway? Is it worth the hundreds of dollars it might cost to get a p/s manifold?

I should fit with little to no trimming. I haven't seen a ramhorm manifold that didn't clear power steering.

alex. i dont think i am gonna go through with this trade. after further research i found out for the power levels i am lookin to make i wont need the ram horn. plus the mini ram would spool faster. which in my case with the b18b1 would be great.

GL setting the bar. Does that mean you're running a bar of boost???:p:p. Have fun with that. I can't set any bars lol. Theres some beast EG's running around here already.

haha im just joking. this build isnt anything about being the fastest. But for me to build a car that i enjoy driving.

Ill be picking up some dime pieces for my overall build even if this manifold isnt one of them lol
