Stock LS on 15 psi 9.2 sec 1/8 mile

Well on saturday the msu drag team and I went down to humbolt iowa and we ran our cars. My car could not hook up for shit. with some off brand 16 inch tires. but i was trapping 80+ mph and times were 9.27, 9.33, 9.65 10.1 10.2 all around 84-86 mph it was a blast. went down with about 10 of us from msu and we went up against some hard cars. but if you have a stock LS engine they can take 15 psi but prolly no for too long. I made 6 passes on the Stock ls engine. this engine came out of a car with 212k miles on it. and i put it through it paces. lol Overall i was happy came home with a trophy and had a blast. If i had some drag radials or slicks im sure i would be in the low 8s or high 7s in the 1/8 mile.

Nice that makes me wanna push the ls turbo up a knotch and go 15psi to lol to risky for me but ill wait till next year and run my coupe on 10psi and see what i get. hopfully high 13s to mid 13s we'll see.

Setting a PSI goal is just plain stupid. Running 15 psi of my t25 turbo is totally different from 15 psi from a gt35r turbo. Set HP goals and just keep cranking the boost until you reach it. LS engine can handle 300 whp easily.

You sure as hell better be over 200 whp on 15 psi or your tuner is retarded. Trapping mid 80s in the 1/8 would probably put you close to 110 in the 1/4 which is probably around 250 whp depending on the weight of your car. Those are just guesses tho, if you went the 1/4 i could give you a better estimate based on traps.

hitting 9s in the 1/8 mile sounds like a 13sec car in the 1/4 mile. my buddy was hitting 7s at the 1/8 track and we went out the the 1/4 mile track and he was hitting 11s

I got into the 7.98 on 273whp booging the launch/burning thru 2nd gear on my LS turbo Setup. Now that I'm on slicks im pulling 11.78 1/4 and 121 trap speeds with a 7.61 1/8th.

Even if you had DR's or slicks there's no way in hell you would be in the low 8s or 7s.

I do 8.1 1/8ths on motor. If you can stop being scared we can run them this weekend. :D
