View Full Version : Ignition Issue?

My car bogs down when i am driving and then i put the pedal to the metal and it takes about 2 seconds for the car to pick up on what im putting down and to get going.
Then sometimes at idle it will seriously get down to 50-100 rpm and i can hear the injectors putting in just enough fuel to keep it from killing.
anyone know what could cause this?
I already looked at the spark plug wires and the cap and rotor and all look good.
Thanks,
Josh

this same thing was happening to me. turns out the spark plug gaskets were leaking and i had oil all over my spark plugs. dip a long screwdriver down in the spark plug hole and see if ya get any oil on it.

check the fuel filter. If its on your civic its located right on the firewall.
