tuned the car @ map on E85 yesterday
details on the car
2.0l GSR
high comp pistons
full valvetrain
pp head
blox cams
blox im
blox tb
comptech intake
no name header
apexi ws exhaust
Baseline was 170whp and 125wtq.
Jordan was able to pull out 194whp 132wtq. With the engine running a bit warmer than usual, my guess is that im a bit closer to 200whp.
im pretty happy for NA the car is super light, the motor is in a 2000 civic ex shell, ill post pics later.
i know i can pull out more than 200whp with a few modifications to the engine over the winter time.
the plans are
Hytech big tube header
victor x manifold
full 3 inch exhaust
and ill rebuild the tranny, plans for that are
gearspeed carbon synchros
new clutch
light flywheel
quaife lsd
on e85 again
id like to go back and make as close to 210-220whp with 140-150wtq
on another note, my friend with an RSX type S dynoed as well.
he has IHE made 197whp with 140wtq.
its amazing what kind of power K series makes over the bseries platform and this is another example of how the k is so much more superior to the B.
bottom line is, i cannot stress how important a tune is for your car that has modifications.
we were able to make over 20whp more with a tune on E85. without e85 i would be in the 180whp range.
My goal was 220 230whp to the flywheel, so i achieved that. 200whp isnt too bad in a sub 2500lb car (my interior is non existant) :)
dyno sheet and pix up later
