Thanks Fargo & Chris & Charlie aka MAP Employees

I’d like to share with everyone the work that I had Fargo at MAPs do on my LS head. BUT first off I’d like to thank Fargo and Chris at MAPs for taking such good care of my head for me, Fargo did an excellent job! I’d like to thank Charlie as well, for sharing his knowledge and experience with me in my build and pointing me in the right direction. When Charlie told me about MAPs offering head service for such a good price I jumped at the opportunity to have my head serviced! I’ve heard/read good things that come out of MAPs and sure enough they were true.

The work that was performed on the head was a 5 angle valve job for both intake and exhaust, 45 degree back cut on exhaust and intake valves with an additional 15 degree back cut on the intake side, and resurfaced to true the head up.

Once again thanks to Fargo, Chris (MAPs), and Charlie. For those who didn’t know that MAPs offered services like this or anything similar now you know, hit ‘em up MAPs have the best crew and are more than willing to help out with whatever that can!

Here's a rundown of what's done to the head:

hot tanked (before & after each process listed below)
full inspection
MAP spec valve job
re-faced valves
re-surfaced head


Often times people don't see the amount of time/effort that goes into prepping & machine "setup" cause each item on the machine will always be different.

Thanks for being patient & trusting MAP with your cylinder head.
As long as there continues to be a NEED, MAP will continue to strive for top qaulity work & compeitive pricing.

Fargo worth ethic really shows because he did take a few extra little steps to ensure it would meet your expectations, such as taking a few mins extra to take out broken studs & media blast the camber & ports from +100K of carbon build up that wouldn't come off just by simply hot-tanking it.

Fargo isn't on the forms, but I'll be sure to pass on your compliments.
