Hondata s300v2? New!!

Just heard hondata release this any insights?

Just looked into it after seeing this post. It looks like very little addition of stuff most people wouldn't use anyway. More than likely a marketing scheme that most people won't know they don't need, or they sensed they needed to lockdown their stuff even more. I run Crome now, but was looking to maybe update to something boost by gear capable this year. I will, at all cost try not to send Hondata a dime of my money, on principle. Same with Golden Eagle and many others.

Like Steve said there added a bunch of worthless stuff that a average person wouldn't use. So you really wouldn't utilize it.

Had I not got a good deal on a local used s300, I would have gone with a neptune ECU.

Same features in addition to 6 more 0-5v inputs to log more things. Internal storage for maps.

I was reading up on DB's facebook and there are cool new features. The number of new input and internal storage is nice. There are new security features, I'm assuming some password lockdown for modifying the different maps or to upload/download maps from the ROM.

I do agree with Stealthmode, most people wouldn't have much need for the new features. I barely hook up my laptop for datalogging unless I'm troubleshooting something. Maybe in the future hook it up to a video monitor for a cool display, but that's pretty much it I suppose.

At least it isn't the S400, they would probably lock all S300s so they are worthless.

Also, its about time they did some real updates, Neptunes been walking all over them for a long time, including everything they just added I'm guessing (haven't looked into it).
