So I have a b18b1 ivehad for a few years and tried to sell with a gsr now I've gave up and am gonna build it, I've never seen anyone do a custom supercharger before and would love to try it, I'd like to make a everyday mildly reliable driver with lower boost I drive around 60 miles a day, Id like to to do a eaton m62 charger, I'd believe that hitting 230 horsepower is a decent goal I've done extensive research but no ones ever really tried it.. I did go to school for machining and have any machine to make custom pulleys and a custom intake I'd port the heads and all that jazz but I'm a little less knowlegable about upgrading the fuel and if I'd need to build the lower end a little. Would anyone have any insight for me?

So you have a ls or a gsr?? What are you asking??

You will need at least
-450cc injectors
-255 walbro fuel pump
-dc headers (Something over stock will let your engine breath)
-2.5inch exhaust
-chipped ecu, Ie; hondata or chrome
-gauges Ie; Boost, Oil pressure, Oil temp and maybe an egt or a wideband
-ebay intake or could make your own with some 3inch charge piping since your mechanically inclined
You can pick up all of that for under 500$
As far as the supercharger goes good luck, but i would highly suggest you get that stuff first.

If I got to upgrade injectors, I got a ls engine and a gsr tranny, I'd just like to know if anyone's ever heard of this being done I'm just not sure about upgrading the fuel system or te lower end a bit

Most of the intake and pulleys I want to do on my own I just got to find a car to put it in I'd like to put it in a small hatch but I do have a problem the ls is out of a 94 and the gsr is out of a 96 and that's odb1 and the trannys odb2 can I run a jumper harness with a p75 ecu?

I am sure you are gonna use the m62 off the gtp/regal. If I remember right there is an issue with the way it rotates. To use it on a honda you have to take it apart and put it back together in a fashion that will work on a honda engine. The way the belts spin on a honda are different then a 3.8 or something from what I remember. Do some research on it but I am positive this is the case. Maybe someone else can chime in.

I would still look into it. I am sure it is the same unit.

you would have to upgrade fuel supply to boost anyways stock cant handle it bottom end doesnt need anything under 300 hp or so...u would be better of just turboing and bleeing more reliable

Also need to go to obd1.
On my car its obd0 and i have a jumper harness to go to obd1 and only have a obd1 ecu and dizzy.
Its easy and better to go to obd1 for tuning purposes.

You need a jumper harness for the engine, not the transmission.

:yeahthat:
M62s were designed to spin clockwise, B & D series engines spin counter clockwise. It can work, but won't be efficent. Best bet is to rebuild it and make it spin counter clockwise.

If you can make pullies you should make cog style pullies for it so you can run a timing belt type setup and have no slipping belts, id like to get one of those, but no ones make one for it, and there is one guy on another forum that had them custom made for him, also while you have the charger apart you could perform the endyne mods on it and port it and weld the silencer holes shut

Why an m62 over a jrsc? Just curious.
I can also source you a used jrsc. Less than 5k miles on the rebuild. Would come with a custom LHT air to water FMIC, LHT custom intake manifold with 68mm tb and an MVM custom 12.5lb pulley. It put down 268whp on a stock internal type r. I'm sure it would net your goal of 230 with bolt ons and a tune no problem.
PM if you have interest. Will be in a for sale thread shortly.
This is turning into a sales thread! lol
