Ok, so i just got done getting my turbo kit and wideband installed.
I started it up still on stock ecu and stock injectors just to check everything over and make sure nothing was leaking.... go look at my wideband and its just pegged at 10:1... take it for a quick cruise no boost or anything just a drive and it stays pegged at 10:1 while cruising too.
Will just putting a walbro 255 pump in with a stock regulator make it run that rich or is something else messed up??

what wideband? pump will not change anything unless FPR is messed up.

Im kinda wondering if my stock regulator is f*cked cuz the plugs that i pulled out of the car before installing the pump or turbo were blacker then hell!!!
Its an AEM wideband.

Try a different FPR and put a guage on. Next, get a base map closest to your setup and run it to see where you are.

is your wideband working right? will it read anything other than 10 if the car is off?

Yeah I think I'm gonna get a new fuel rail and regulator with a gauge and go from there

Yeah the gauge is working fine it leans out when I let off the gas and reads about 14.7 when I first start the car then slowly goes all the way rich as it warms up. And it changes when I rev the car and everything but I can definitely smell that its running very rich.

Make sure your map sensor is not leaking? Gasket not ripped.

I still have quite a few things I plan to buy before the car goes to get tuned.

I would suggest not driving it till you figure it out or towed to get tuned. You could do some damage running pig rich like that.

If he has stock inj and stock ECU then it isn't a tune problem, something else is wrong.

I agree with Shane here since fuel map didn't change. I wonder if the WB was installed correctly?

Its an AEM wideband, there not much to mess up. Power, ground and plug the sensor in... like I said its not just the wideband telling me its running rich I can smell gas like crazy

Do you have a leak somewhere? And did you get a guage on the fuel rail with new fpr? at least get an adjustable afr, and not one of those B&M chop cut fpr's.

Well i figured out my problem...
I have the car running at 3.5psi with an fmu and missing link for the time being( i know, i know :palm:) but its just a temp thing until i get some more parts that i want on the car before i take it up to get a full tune. (intake manifold, throttle body and a couple other things)
But anywho... i decided today to try a different map sensor for the hell of it and that didnt fix it so i pulled the missing link out and tried it like that and it runs like a champ, idles pretty steady right around 14.5:1 so that takes care of that issue i guess haha
Never had that problem with any of the other 4 times ive boosted any of my cars so who knows, must just be a bunk missing link.

Missing links are too "High Tech" for that set-up. You need some Walmart fish tank check valves.:thumb:

Yea, everyone knows you need an AFC to go with it. What good is it without fine-tune-ability??

Haha its just a temp thing. I had them laying around the garage and I still want to get a couple more things for the car before I actually take it to get tuned.
