I have a d15b7 and my friend has a crower stage 1 cam w/skunk 2 cam gear for a d16. I believe its this one http://www.crower.com/products/camshafts/honda-d16y-vtec-sohc-camshaft-4431.html

will it work? (sorry if this is a dumb question i just want it to be a little less gutless and its just laying around because he no longer has a civic)

i want to but idk where to get one from. I dont want a jdm motor cause i've heard bad things and it's a shot in the dark. Finding one from a junkyard is overpriced (at least the ones i've been to) and craigslist sucks

I have a jdm motor (B20B 9.6:1) BOOSTED and i love it! Had it for two years now on 10.6lbs of boost, stock internals! Got it for $800 shipped with less than 20k miles! Never done me wrong! pm me for web site or ordering info!

Once you feel the torque of a B20 youll love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

d-series can make troque too if you boost it. But the answer to your question is no, it won't work unless you slap a z6 or y8 head on it.

exactly ^^^^

I had a d15b7 in my old eg sedan and was just going to shave the head and throw in a cam for a few more ponies up top but you can't expect much from those motors.

if it was about spending $800-1000 on ls swap or boosting your d15b7 i would boost it.

Look for an d16a6 camshaft. Good upgrade for the d15b7. You'll need an adjustable cam gear to adjust the cam timing correctly though.

yes I have an a6 camshaft for sale too.
You can spend the money to get an aftermarket cam gear for $85-90 to correct the cam degree.

BUT I would just use a d16y7 cam gear at honda... i believe they are $27...
not as pretty but it corrects the a6 cam setting when used in a b7.

I would expect you to pick up 2-3 ponies.

yeah i've decided i think to wait on a swap because the car only just rolled over 100k it would be dumb to swap out something with so much life left. If anything major happens to the engine though its ls time
