If someone where to design their own intake which style of injector bung would one go with? The standard gm/bosch 14mm(I think) o ring style. Or the honda/dsm pintle cap style injector? Note these are both top feed injectors. The side feed or other styles of injectors maybe a bit outside of the maching capabilities available

it depends on the cylinder head design. The spray pattern of the injectors are all different. Personally if i were to make a manifold I would use a low resistance peak and hold injector then use what ever bung. The bung hole shouldn't matter. make sure your intake manifold plenum has enough volume for the cylinders.

What are the atributes of the spray patterns of diffrent injectors? Maybe I should just redesign the head for direct injecton, and then build a stand alone that can deal with a stratified charge..

I guess what I saying is I don't have an army of researchers sitting around testing wet flow swirl and tumble of injector spray patterns. I was looking at it in a more econimical way. As in ease of upgrades and availability.
