This DIY is intended to help you through the removal of your rear wiper on you Integra DC2, EG, EK and maybe some other Hondas with the applicable rear wiper blade that sits in the glass.

This project was done on a DC2 Integra hatchback. (94-01 body style)

Materials needed:
-90301-SR3-000 (metal plug available at Honda)
-76707-SR3-000 (rubber seal)
-90156-SH3-000 (10mm bolt with washer)...I did not use this because it is too long. Use a shorter 10mm bolt from your bin of Honda extras.
-5/16" neoprene washer (local Home Depot)
-5/16" metal washer (local Home Depot)

Step 1:
-Clean anything off of the rear window such as snow, ice, ....

Step 2:
-Pry up the cover above the nut holding the wiper arm on. Use the screw driver or pinch the bottom of it with your fingers and lift up like so...

Step 3:
-Remove the 12mm nut holding on the wiper arm.
-Remove the wiper arm. You may have to wiggle the arm a little bit to get it off.

Step 4:
-Remove the plastic cover
-Use an adjustable wrench to remove the bolt and pull off the metal tray as well.

Step 5:
-Open the hatch and take off the panels along the sides.
-Remove the panel along the bottom of the hatch covering the motor

Step 6:
-Unplug the wire harness
-Remove the three 10mm bolts holding the motor in place
-Pull down on the motor to remove it.

Step 7:
-Remove the metal washer and the rubber seal that is left in the glass
-Wipe the hole in the glass with a towel and make sure it is clean

Step 8:
-Apply Hondabond around the inside edge of the new rubber seal
-Place in the hole in the rear window. Note the shape of the seal. The upper edge of it is shaped with a slant. The arrow on it indicates which side points to the front of the car. It is not too important unless you really want it to look good.
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k267/viperfreak1992/DIY%20Pictures/IMG_20110113_144358.jpg

Step 9:
-Insert the new plug into the rubber seal
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k267/viperfreak1992/DIY%20Pictures/IMG_20110113_144443.jpg
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k267/viperfreak1992/DIY%20Pictures/IMG_20110113_144520.jpg

Step 10:
-The bolt listed in the part numbers I found it may be too long, use a shorter 10mm bolt if you have one available.
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k267/viperfreak1992/DIY%20Pictures/IMG_20110113_145224.jpg
-Install the neoprene washer first, then the metal washer, then the bolt
-Hold the plug in place from the outside and tighten by hand. It may want to spin on you because the plug is a little smaller than the hole.
-Apply some more Honda Bond around the underside of the plug and spread with your fingers to make sure you have no air pockets.
-Try not to get it above the dot matrix because it will then be viewable above the trim panels in your rear-view mirror.
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k267/viperfreak1992/DIY%20Pictures/IMG_20110113_145515.jpg

Step 11:
-Re-install your trim panels
-Wait for the Hondabond to set and use a razor blade to scrape off any extra around the plug.

Final product:

A few reasons acually...

-Overall look of the car
-Paint was pealing and I didn't want to paint it like I did the fronts
-Wiper arm was stripped causing it to go off the side if the blade was stuck.
-Wiper blades wouldn't last more than a couple months
-And I wanted something to do LOL

Same here.

I can easily put it back to stock if I wanted to. I didn't destroy anything doing it and I saved all the parts

yes...the procedure is just a little bit different. There are write-ups on this subject on Team-Integra's website, but some of the pictures are gone now so I figured I don't plan on ever deleting my pics off photobucket, so they should stay here.

However, I do believe they are the exact same part numbers for the parts you will need.

Nice write up Drew.

As long as I've owned the Integra, I never did use the rear wiper much. Even when it rained and I was driving at highway speeds, I always had a clear view out the rear window. Although the thought to remove the rear wiper crossed my mind; I never did remove it. Cleaner, original loo - its all subjective.
