don't try and use the prelude b20.... everything off that motor is usless and the crv b20 are just plain better design.
every once in while, even honda produces a freaky retarded child like the b20 in that prelude, H23, d16a1, zc .... no love and support for those motors.

The B20A is a torqy motor that I would throw in a 89 style old skool Accord; otherwise, they aren't that bad of a Honda motor. 140hp at the crank from an old school Prelude isn't bad.

yeah not bad in stock form..... but when you start moding.... a b18a will yeild more choices for upgrade.
So why even consider swapping in b20a? it's a dead end road.
know what i mean.

Oh thats for sure. There's not much of aftermarket support for the Prelude B20A when it comes to modding it.
Boosting it with a custom turbo kit will make it a beast! I've seen it done many times over at PreludePower.

hmmm...b20's? If there's no vtec in the motor then it's going nowhere unless you want to turbo it. Try B20V since you're into the b20 motor. Which motor is going to have more potential when it's built with the same set up? Non-vtec or vtec? I'll go with vtec motor.

FYI, this JDM B20 Non VTEC in this black CRX kept up with me for a little bit. He just got done dusting a white CRX with a JDM B16A then came and raced me.
YouTube - CD5 Accord VS Black CRX
He dusted many B16s and alot more but... he's pushing 250whp after turboing it.

I knew someone with a B20Z back in the days. Straight B20 swap in an EG. I/H/E and a good flywheel/clutch combo. He ran 14.4 - 14.6 all day at the Rock.
I don't remember if he was on street tires or not. Maybe? It was like in 2002-2003?
I say not bad for a $1000 of mods and a $1000 chassis.

Yup, I also a guy who drives a black delsol that ran low 14 with a LS swap. It could've been a B20 if they weren't being honest.
And yes, that's Mike. His B20B ran like a champ; not bad for a DOHC non VTEC. Gotta love torque!
So question then i have a zc with some bolt ons and it ran 15.0 at the track in my gutted civic hatch and im looking for probly another project and im thinking about going with a crx b20vtec. What the block tag for the crv b20 and will the b16 head go straight on and are the b20 intake and exhaust interchangeable with the b16 head?
how much hp do u think id be looking at? and what kinda price?

b20's are pretty good motors. the usdm b20 i had in my ek was ran with nos, and it held up pretty good. just don't do anything crazy stupid with it. newer gen b20's (b20z) are better in stock form.

B20Z and B20B are pretty good, but most preferr the B20Z motor.
