So im in the market for building somethin new over winter, and with my ls motor kinda limpin.. why not.
so my question.
i saw basically a complete d16y8 for dirt. and i know some jdm da's came with the d series, very few n seldom, but none the less..
anybody seen it done, ive seen somewhere someone making an adapter plate for the b series tranny to mate up. what about mounts n such..?
talk the shit ya want lol but itd be cheaper to get this d16 and build a bit, than to fix the ls or buy a new one..
:ahh:

i saw a guy with b series trans on an h22... idk if that really helps you, but then if that can be not, then why not? pm if ur parting out your ls motor/TRANS. i got a few chep d series parts.
you will be way happier with a 1.8 in it cuz they have some torques
Also Idk anyone that makes mounts for that

yea ive seen the h2b. and ive seen some dude make d2b. i was just asking if i would need mounts made or what i can use..
as for the b vs d yes i know the power diff and all that, but im lookin at money, not power.
i could build this d for about what id spend on a stock ls or b20
money wise putting a D in there will prolly be more expensive since you have to find some sort of mounts/axles/linkage and if you do find a d2b plate that will be big monies also

If you put a d in it, its gotta be dirty.

Minus well drop in an F22B1 VTEC and mate it to a D-Series trans; F2D. I believe you can get the adaptor plate from Bisi. They are much lighter than the factory F trans and probably made much more power.

Well its either 100 for the d16y8
Or 3 for a b16 block..

Lol not sure if that's good or bad
Turbo = good. Only way it would be worth putting it in there. If not, you'll make xmods car look like a rocketship.

who cares if it's slow.
Yes you can swap in a D series into the DA...
D2B if I recall is much easier than H2B because most of the holes actually line up.
You could do it with out any fancy adapter plat.
check on honda-tech
I know on d-series.org, one of the guys there was doing it on their shop car ..... i think it's speedfactory or something like that.
What would be hella cool is a big bay like the DA, with small motor, wire tuck, bug ass top mount turbo.... haha

^^ thank you sirs. Why build up a new ls when I could spend half that making a decent Turbo D

Might throw a D in my DA. Not really looking to build it, it would just look the best tucked.

My cousin actually put a sohc vtec in a 94 integra, was very slow. Then he boosted it, forgot how much psi. But it was decent, beat a ls integra

Keep B-series in Integras, Don't downgrade them
