From Rice To Nice

Well guys my name is Armin, im from Fargo and im 19 years old I recently just bought this integra from a friend due to it not running.

** I am really bad and making built threads so it might get a little scattered around and hard to follow, sorry **

a little background on the car its a 1994 Acura Integra GSR. Previous owner has had the car for 8-9 years. the car came white from the factory and was repainted corvette yellow.

after this he rebuilt the motor and built it for boost and hit a sidewalk with it and messed up the front end, he then took the interior apart to redo everything and didnt get very far. the car started having starting issues and sat in his garage. this is what the engine looked like 10k$ later

Well then he put the car up for sale and I traded my brothers eclipse and have to pay back my brother 2 grand for this car

car stayed like that for 2 days because it took us a while to figure out why it wouldnt start turn out it was a boost leak and some vacuum leaks.

well the work has began I got the oem rear bumper and I put some civic si side skirts i had next to my side skirts and they look like they will fit so now i need 2 new fenders and a 00 integra front bumper and headlights

I started by taking off the big wing.

got the integra some smaller shoes 19s are way to big these are 17x7

De-rice this thing with oem partss... And repaint original color then it will look nice.. Hopefully the interior is okay.. Means previous owner didn't do anything painting or riced it out too??? I think white gsr are hard to come by now a days... So if it was me I'll repaint it white..

your assuming wrong. the previous owner had it at tintmasters beggining of the month and I had it there for a valve adjustment they had nothing to do with the starting issues..I know what I said so dont try to correct me..

I didnt say my cars going to run 13s Im assuming I should be able to run 13s Im only pushing 9-10 psi and making 266horsepower to the wheels

it defiently needs alot of work, but the eclipse was auto and had its share of issues too plus the tegs alot faster and more fun to drive! minus the drop top

I wanted yellow because it stands out, but then I thought yellow would stick out a bit for cops to, if I can find a good deal on doing my door jams im going to repaint it champion white or another cool color, and I am originally from Bosnia

oh thank goodness another teg thats in the process of being saved from that horror called "custom" probs for the work done but unnecessary on integras or civics. saw this eg coupe at world of wheels back in feb before work and i was completely disgusted because it was made to look like a lowrider with the chain steering wheel and weird interior that had buckets seats able to go around 360. no offense meant if their on mnhondas but thats wrong

well plans changed I dont know what I will do yet, but the car didnt want to start so me and my brother decided to tow it home and hooked the tow rope on the wrong spot (stupid mistake) long story short the whole front frame assembly came off after my brother hit the brakes and me trying to avoid hitting him and then he got back on the throttle and snapped the front end off. will most likely drop the motor in something else. Ill get pictures later

my internet company is down till tommorow so I am useing some slow ass internet and uploading pics would be a pain, but yeah after looking at it some more I might just need a radiator support and some work, I just found out that a buddy of mine has a friend buying a integra to pull the motor so I might try to snatch up the shell or front end parts that I need. and yeah I made a mistake, lesson learned

did you dyno it yet? Im sorta having traction issues as it I need to invest in better tires for when I turn the boost up, I might eventually get a bigger turbo and go for more power since the motor is built to handle it but I doubt it will happen till I get another car to daily.

It hasn't looked good since it was stock, and won't since its driven in the winter. Racing to stop lights in the winter at that, which I'm sure is the reason for the front end damage in the first place. Ill stop shitting on your thread though, I'm starting to sound like some people on this site.

actually the cars never seen winter and I dont plan on driving it in the winter either. and the front end damage happened during the summer not during the winter.

now I need to get a new fuel pump and swap over the rad support and everything off the new integra

a good 15-20 minutes later I changed the shift knob and put my 19s on it

Plans are to drive it for a month or so, Gives me a way to get around and then im gonna rip apart the front end and swap it onto my yellow integra, swap out most of the interior that I can and then my bro is most likely going to keep the red integra or were going to pull the motor and swap it into a civic

I got the center counsel all out and the under piece by the steering wheel and the glove box out but I cant figure out if I can just take the piece around the glove box/radio out and replace it with the one out of the parts or do I gotta swap the complete dash..?

some updates for you guys, my passenger side HID went out and I looked through the wiring it was unplugged, so I plugged it back in and my car shut off.? weird? any ideas on that.. I unplugged it again and the car starts again normal. So I think I found my wiring issue so next up im going to order a new hid kit for it, and also the car should be going into paint in the next month or so maybe. Ive got a guy thats going to spray it just gotta come up with some extra cash and figure out when he is able to do it.

he wanted 50$ to spray it as long as I got all the body work done masked it and what not, I dont know how good he is I just wanted to get it painted so its all one color so I didnt really care, but I just got hired full time and I still got my part time job I might just get it done by a pro over winter

Not much new here I ordered new hids and racing seat belts off of ebay lol, the car came with only one seat belt and the bolt where it goes in is stripped for now and I need seat belts to drive the car 25$ shipped couldn't beat that price so I got them for temp use. Gonna try to get the car at least primered and drive it a little bit to see if any more electrical issues come up and hopefully get the interior and paint on before summer.

HIDs are ok if they are actually useful in terms of temperature. IMO anything over 6K is stupid, the point of HIDs are supposed to light the road right?

I dont know if people realize that the higher you go in kelvin, the more visibility you sacrifice, that and in MN really blue lights are illegal, how some people get away with anything bluer than Nokias is beyond me.

That and HIDs in non-projector housing suck for anyone else not behind that cars steering wheel lol.

If you wanna check out decent HIDs for a crazy price go DDM they just got hella cheap.

Ive got the OEM projectors in my lights, and ive heard of DDM before but it didnt even cross my mind when I got these.


ive sorta fallen out of love with this project, I take it out and gas it up once a month or so now and its no fun looking at it the way it sits :(

I could of kept going, but I sorta planned on selling the car eventualy anyway to buy the evo/sti, and I needed a daily driver to get to work and other places the integra wasnt much of a daily especially with the random starting issues nobody could figure out
