MY body shop class and I are going to be painting my lips and skirts. The only thing that I have to provide is the paint. Paint code is NH-583M. Where, other than the Honda dealer, can I buy this paint from?
theres a store right between rochester and Byron in hwy 14 that sells automotive paint, they will mix it right on the spot with that paint code....but i can remember the name of the store... something like northwestern...something something MN i believe...

90% of kids going to auto body school will never step foot into a body shop, 9% that do step in dont last a year, And the only 1% make a living of it.
My dad taught my that haha, his shop teacher told him that many many years ago and the sad thing is that its true. Ive been there over a year but i didnt go to school for it cause i had no need haha. But seriously its hard to make a living off of it. All you really get out of it is a really nice car by the time that you call it quiets. ( In my dads cause over 15 personal cars but yet hes still going haha.) :D
Your gonna be kinda shocked at the price of paint i bet :p Eveerything is going up almost monthly or atleast it was a few months ago. Gas comes down but the price on paper, sand paper, maskeing tape, paint, mixing cups, tack cloths, scuff pads, bondo, hardner, activater, primer, fiber glass, welding gas/wire etc etc etc all keeps going up.

soo true. they dont teach you shit in auto body school. basicly its a waiste because they teach you all the wrong steps and or diffrent steps such as skim coating a whole car.... no one does that unless you want to create a headache.. but anyway i was taught by my uncle instead of paying for a school, and not learning a damn thing.

Well its not that they dont teach you anything, its just its better to learn on site, in real conditions, timelines, etc. Basiclly when u go to class's for it and you already know what your doing then ur just paying for a piece of paper that says you can do what you already know you could do. Its great if youve had no previous experiance but other than that its a waste of time. The only time it would affect you is if you want a job at a car dealership, a big time shop, or whatever. If your in a small town then you really wouldnt have to worry about it. I got told that my work looks better than 3/4 of the kids that come out of that school, and the guy that told me this has been doing body work for almost 50 some years! :D
